My Promises to you....

Even before one political comment was made, over 1,000 people decided they can trust the man at their door wanting to be their next congressman. And that's why I need to share with everyone else what I promised to them.

As a single guy, who greatly loves his country, wants to commit most of his time and is the only candidate that personally gathered all 1,000 qualifying nomination signatures from all political viewpoints by going door to door, I respectfully make the following promises.

I promise to represent everyone regardless of political leanings in good faith based on the known facts and I'll accomplish that by visiting each county 5 times in announced visits so everyone has multiple opportunities to express their viewpoint.

Not one candidate, regardless of political party, can claim this and back it up with valid evidence. I've knocked on over 1,100 doors to ask them to sign my nomination papers and put me on the ballot. Less than half barely mentioned politics, instead wanting more information on who's crazy enough to this himself. [SEE THAT STORY] One of the most frequently heard comments on the nomination road was 'He [congressman] never comes around.' In the past few decades that's been true, as most counties only get the minimum one visit per year. And I understand the reasoning on both side, but times are much more different now and more volatile. People want to see and know that their congressman is on the ball and getting things done for them. Looking at congress' in-session calendar I believe this a promise that only I can easily and gladly keep. [SEE HOW]

I promise to keep you abreast of all government actions and happenings that may give you some relief from the daily exhaustion you may be experiencing, even though in the big picture and long term it's actually a lot or winning for America.

I think its paramount that your Representative keep you well informed of what's going on in DC. The overwhelming theme in people's discussions on the nomination road, from all political viewpoints, was that they are exhausted. Much of this political burn out comes from the constant bombardment from the biased news media which many times paints a worse case scenario picture more so than it actually is. So I'm promising, on a daily basis if need be, to make sure all the known facts are presented to you so that a true informed understanding and opinion can be made by all constituents. If you go to my Facebook or YouTube page 'Don Raihala for Congress' you can see that there is a noticeable improvement in my issues videos. [SEE MY FACEBOOK] [GO TO YOUTUBE] Just imagine how they'll be when I have better technology and learn how to edit. Your understanding of what's going on with our government is one of my top priorities.

I promise to make government actions interesting and even somewhat entertaining for you.

There's a silent majority out there that do not care for politics and that's unfortunate. These people are generally uninformed or misinformed as to what's going on and can be swayed to go vote for all the wrong reasons. Your representative should have some flair when presenting the facts that makes the daily grind of politics at least somewhat interesting. Some of the congressmen I look up to for their seemingly effortless ability to do this are Senators John Kennedy and Josh Hawley and Representatives Brandon Gill and Tim Burchett. When politics are presented in a factual, easy to understand manner and in an enjoyable way it's easier to appreciate what's best for our great nation.

I promise you will get a 3 for 1 in representation

  1. You'll get a dynamic conservative congressman for the reasons listed above that you can be proud of.

  2. You'll get a champion of local community power as I'll show you the use of advisory and binding referendums to take control of local government. [WHAT'S A REFERENDUM] Oh, you didn't know the people had that power....how odd that they would hide that from you. Things like AI data centers, flock cameras or maybe your city just has an unrealistic renewable energy goal that you'd like a say in instead of just a few.

  3. You'll get a champion at the state level too. Possibly use a non-binding referendum to advance an issue to the state level for change. Think of referendums as a more formal and accurate means to express public opinion instead of relying on skewed polling numbers. The best part is referendums are free and your elected officials hate being told they are wrong.
